Introduction
This one-day course is designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities. This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. The Learner needs to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.

Course Programme
The learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, recovery position, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.
Certification and Assessment
Assessment is by multiple-choice theory questions at the end of the course, as well as 4 practical assessments during the course. Successful delegates will receive a Qualsafe Awards Certificate valid for 3 years.
