SUMMARY:ABBE Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment (RQF)
DESCRIPTION:Introduction  \nThe Awarding Body of the Built Environment (ABBE – regulated by Ofqual) Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment. \nThe need for this Fire Risk Assessment qualification is due to the Government’s Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO)\, which requires fire risk assessments to be carried out by a ‘competent’ person. \nThis qualification provides learners with the knowledge suitable for fire risk assessors that are acting either in-house or as an external consultant acting as a ‘competent person’ as defined by the RRO. \nThe purpose is to allow learners to demonstrate that they are capable of carrying out fire risk assessments and have the under-pinning knowledge needed\, at the required depth and to confirm occupational competence. \nAchievement of these qualifications will provide learners with the required knowledge and skills to work within the sector specialising in this area. \nOver a 5-day period\, delegates will build an understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements of Fire Risk Assessment and how to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment.  Delegates are required to complete a pre-course unit prior to course start. \nCourse Duration \nIHTC Ltd offer this course over five days. \nTime: \nStart- 8.30am (registration at 8.15am) \nFinish – 5pm \nWho Should Attend? \nFor those who intend to carry out fire risk assessments as ‘competent persons’ as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) for both in-house fire risk assessors and independent consultants. Specifically designed to enable learners to demonstrate their knowledge and skills to undertake this work. \nCourse Programme \nDelegates will gain an understanding of: \n\nWork in a safe and professional manner.\nFundamental principles and concepts for fire risk assessment.\nPrepare to undertake fire risk assessments.\nUndertake and report on fire risk assessments.\nAdvanced principles and concepts for fire risk assessment.\nUndertake and report on fire risk assessments for all buildings (except complex buildings)\n\nTraining is delivered through a combination of theory sessions and practical exercises. \nPlease note\, if you have already achieved the ABBE Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment you can APL Units 1\, 2 and 3 into this qualification. \nCertification and Assessment \nA Portfolio of evidence will be required to be complete after the course. This Portfolio is completed online via “Quals Direct”. Delegates will have an assigned assessor who will guide them through the portfolio to completion. Delegates have 6 months after the course to complete the portfolio. SUMMARY:Qualsafe Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work & Forestry First Aid Combined (EFAW+F) (RQF)
DESCRIPTION:Introduction\nThis one-day course is designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work\, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations and is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a forestry\, agricultural or remote environment\, such as tree surgeons and farmers. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities. This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. The Learner needs to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified. \nCourse Duration\nIHTC Ltd offer this course over 1 day. \nTimes \n8.30am Start (Arrive 15 mins before for registration) \n5.00pm Finish \n(No lunch provided\, please bring your own.  Tea & coffee available) \nCourse Programme\nThe learners will be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to treat a range of injuries and diseases that could occur in these environments\, such as Lyme disease and catastrophic bleeding as well as the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations\, including: managing an unresponsive casualty\, CPR\, recovery position\, choking\, shock\, wounds and minor injuries. \nCertification and Assessment\nThe method of assessment will be by multiple-choice theory questions at the end of the course\, as well as practical assessments during the course.
