DESCRIPTION:Introduction \nThe Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is Europe’s leading body for health and safety and is committed to promoting protection from workplace hazards at every level. The Managing Safely certificate issued by IOSH is recognised nationally and identifies the holder as having been instructed in proactive approaches to managing health\, safety and welfare. \nThe course covers the basics in health and safety management in a high impact interactive format\, whilst giving management the tools to introduce new workplace controls\, implement sensible changes and reduce workplace risks. \nTimes \nStart- 8.30am (registration at 8.15am)\nFinish – 5pm \n(No lunch provided\, please bring your own.  Tea & coffee available) \nCourse Duration \nIHTC Ltd offer this course over three days. \n  \nWho Should Attend  \nManaging Safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector\, and any organisation. It is designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams. \n  \nCourse Programme  \nModule 1: Introducing Managing Safely \nModule 2: Assessing Risks \nModule 3: Controlling Risks \nModule 4: Understanding your Responsibilities \nModule 5: Identifying Hazards \nModule 6: Investigating Accidents and Incidents \nModule 7: Measuring Performance \n  \nCertification and Assessment  \nOn course completion\, delegates will undertake a short assessment and conduct a workplace practical project. SUMMARY:ABBE Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection RQF
DESCRIPTION:The Awarding Body of the Built Environment (ABBE – regulated by Ofqual) Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection. The purpose of the Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate that they are capable of carrying out fire door inspections and have the under-pinning knowledge needed\, at the required depth and to confirm occupational competence. Achievement of these qualifications will provide learners with the required knowledge and skills to work within the sector specialising in this area. \nOver a 2 Day period\, delegates will build an understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements of Fire Door Inspection and how to carry out a Fire Door Inspection. \nCourse Duration \nIHTC Ltd offer this course over two days. \nTime: \nStart- 8.30am (registration at 8.15am) \nFinish – 5pm \n(No lunch provided\, please bring your own or local amenities available within a short distance. Tea & coffee available) \nWho Should Attend? \nThis qualification is aimed at those who intend to carry out fire door inspections as ‘competent persons’. Specifically designed to enable learners to demonstrate their ability to undertake this work\, these qualifications are suitable for both in-house fire risk assessors\, Fire Door Inspectors and independent consultants. \nCourse Programme \nDelegates will gain an understanding of: \n\nUnderstand what is meant by a ‘fire door’.\nUnderstand regulations and standards for fire doors.\nPrepare to undertake fire door inspection.\nCarry out a fire door inspection.\n\nCertification and Assessment \nA Portfolio of evidence will be required to be completed after the course. This Portfolio is completed online via “Quals Direct”. Delegates will have an assigned assessor who will guide them through the portfolio to completion. Delegates have 6 months after the course to complete the portfolio. On completion of the portfolio\, successful delegates will receive an ABBE Accredited Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection (RQF). \nPlease note\, IHTC Ltd reserve the right to cancel the course if there are not enough Learners to attend\, we will give Learners at least 48 hours notice\, if this is the case you will have a full refund.
