SUMMARY:ABBE Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection RQF
DESCRIPTION:The Awarding Body of the Built Environment (ABBE – regulated by Ofqual) Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection. The purpose of the Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate that they are capable of carrying out fire door inspections and have the under-pinning knowledge needed\, at the required depth and to confirm occupational competence. Achievement of these qualifications will provide learners with the required knowledge and skills to work within the sector specialising in this area. \nOver a 2 Day period\, delegates will build an understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements of Fire Door Inspection and how to carry out a Fire Door Inspection. \nCourse Duration \nIHTC Ltd offer this course over two days. \nTime: \nStart- 8.30am (registration at 8.15am) \nFinish – 5pm \n(No lunch provided\, please bring your own or local amenities available within a short distance. Tea & coffee available) \nWho Should Attend? \nThis qualification is aimed at those who intend to carry out fire door inspections as ‘competent persons’. Specifically designed to enable learners to demonstrate their ability to undertake this work\, these qualifications are suitable for both in-house fire risk assessors\, Fire Door Inspectors and independent consultants. \nCourse Programme \nDelegates will gain an understanding of: \n\nUnderstand what is meant by a ‘fire door’.\nUnderstand regulations and standards for fire doors.\nPrepare to undertake fire door inspection.\nCarry out a fire door inspection.\n\nCertification and Assessment \nA Portfolio of evidence will be required to be completed after the course. This Portfolio is completed online via “Quals Direct”. Delegates will have an assigned assessor who will guide them through the portfolio to completion. Delegates have 6 months after the course to complete the portfolio. DESCRIPTION:Who is this qualification suitable for?\nThis qualification is designed for candidates who are developing their competence as Fire Risk Assessors and are undertaking or progressing to Intermediate-level practice. It is suitable for: \n\nCandidates who have already achieved the FireQual Level 3 Certificate in Foundation Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent.\nPractising Fire Risk Assessors seeking recognition of competence at an intermediate level.\nFire safety practitioners and consultants working on behalf of Responsible Persons (RPs) or Duty Holders (DHs) in moderate-risk premises.\nProfessionals in facilities management\, building safety\, or enforcement roles who need to demonstrate competence in carrying out Fire Risk Assessments for buildings or premises of moderate risk.\n\nWhat does the qualification cover?\nOn completion\, candidates will be able to competently carry out Fire Risk Assessments in buildings and premises categorised as moderate risk. \nYou will gain the skills and knowledge to: \n\nApply fire safety principles when analysing information to undertake FRAs in moderate-risk buildings.\nInterpret and apply relevant fire safety legislation\, standards\, and codes of practice.\nEvaluate fire safety measures and their limitations in mitigating fire development\, growth\, and spread.\nUnderstand how building design\, construction\, and maintenance influence fire safety outcomes.\nAssess and provide recommendations regarding fire safety management systems in moderate-risk buildings.\n\nEntry Requirements\nNormally candidates will have completed the FireQual Level 3 Certificate in Foundation Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent. SUMMARY:Qualsafe Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work & Forestry First Aid Combined (EFAW+F) (RQF)
DESCRIPTION:Introduction\nThis one-day course is designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work\, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations and is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a forestry\, agricultural or remote environment\, such as tree surgeons and farmers. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities. This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. The Learner needs to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified. \nCourse Duration\nIHTC Ltd offer this course over 1 day. \nTimes \n8.30am Start (Arrive 15 mins before for registration) \n5.00pm Finish \n(No lunch provided\, please bring your own.  Tea & coffee available) \nCourse Programme\nThe learners will be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to treat a range of injuries and diseases that could occur in these environments\, such as Lyme disease and catastrophic bleeding as well as the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations\, including: managing an unresponsive casualty\, CPR\, recovery position\, choking\, shock\, wounds and minor injuries. \nCertification and Assessment\nThe method of assessment will be by multiple-choice theory questions at the end of the course\, as well as practical assessments during the course.
