The Awarding Body of the Built Environment (ABBE – regulated by Ofqual) Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection. The purpose of the Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate that they are capable of carrying out fire door inspections and have the under-pinning knowledge needed, at the required depth and to confirm occupational competence. Achievement of these qualifications will provide learners with the required knowledge and skills to work within the sector specialising in this area.
Over a 2 Day period, delegates will build an understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements of Fire Door Inspection and how to carry out a Fire Door Inspection.

Who Should Attend?
This qualification is aimed at those who intend to carry out fire door inspections as ‘competent persons’. Specifically designed to enable learners to demonstrate their ability to undertake this work, these qualifications are suitable for both in-house fire risk assessors, Fire Door Inspectors and independent consultants.

Certification and Assessment
A Portfolio of evidence will be required to be completed after the course. This Portfolio is completed online via “Quals Direct”. Delegates will have an assigned assessor who will guide them through the portfolio to completion. Delegates have 6 months after the course to complete the portfolio. On completion of the portfolio, successful delegates will receive an ABBE Accredited Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection (RQF).
